Westmoore Jaguars
Head Coach: Lorenzo Williams
2020 Record: 6-5
Offense
The Jaguars have a youthful look on offense, bolstered by a significant amount of depth at the skill positions. Shyheim Johnson (6-1, 180, So.) and Jacob Blice (5-11, 165, So.) both got reps at quarterback during the summer. Johnson has a big arm and can get the ball down the field to an armada of fleet receivers. Bice adds a change of pace with extreme quickness and will see time in the secondary if he’s not under center. Ethan Lawrence (5-9, 160, Sr.) and Kevion Williams (6-0, 160, Sr.) will stretch just about any defense. Both receivers can fly, which opens up the middle for tight end Zane Chavez (6-2, 185, Sr.). Chavez was the Oklahoman’s Player of the Week for his performance against Southmoore in the playoffs. Kabrien Grant (5-10, 175, Sr.) has returned to health after missing 2020 with a torn A.C.L. He’s the top dog in a backfield that will include Brandon Arnold (5-11, 180, Sr.) among others. Tyler Koonce (6-2, 265, Sr.) sets the tone on an offensive line that will feature a pair of future stars. James Williams (6-3, 300, So.) is a projected starter at one of the guard spots with Carlos Pardo (6-3, 280, So.) lining up at tackle.
