
VYPE: Kyiah, what grade are you in this season?
Kyiah Prestridge: I’m in the 11th grade.
VYPE: How many points did you average per game last year?
KP: I averaged 18.9 points with 8.9 rebounds and 4.0 assists.
VYPE: What accomplishment are you most proud of?
KP: Receiving multiple D1 scholarships to play at the next level.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher and why?
KP: Coach Mendoza he my history teacher this year and I can always goof around in his class without being disruptive
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
KP: The people that inspire me are my parents. They work really hard to make me the best version of myself. And they support me to make it bigger than they did.
VYPE: Which current or former teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
KP: The teammates that has made the impression on me is my little sister Aliyah Prestridge. She an incoming freshman this year and I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t think she was ready, but she showed me at the super scrimmage that she is very ready for school ball.
VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
KP: The best advice that someone has given me is to take rest days and don’t over work yourself or you’ll lose love for the game.
VYPE: What is your process for getting better?
KP: I have gotten better at guarding on the perimeter, and I will continue to capitalize my opportunities on offense.
