Westmoore looks to rebound in 2026 after an 0-10 season under head coach Coleman Ramsey, who is entering his second year at the helm. Ramsey notes that many players gained their first real varsity experience last fall, saying it was “A year of experience for tons of guys that they hadn’t had yet” and that they “look to see big time growth after a full season of playing for many.” With seven offensive and six defensive starters returning, the Jaguars expect improvement across the board in rugged 6AI competition.
Offensively, Westmoore will line up in a spread with “3 to 5 WRs,” using a “Multiple scheme designed to get playmakers the ball in open space.” Senior receiver and Top 100 nominee Anthony Norris leads the group after catching 27 passes for 397 yards and two touchdowns, bringing a 6-foot-3 frame and high-end speed. Fellow senior wideout Marvion Herron matched Norris in receptions with 27 catches for 423 yards and four touchdowns, while junior receiver Jayden Diaz added 14 catches for 246 yards and two scores, giving the Jaguars three proven weapons on the perimeter. With so many returning targets, Westmoore’s passing game should be significantly more productive.
Defensively, the Jaguars return six starters and will base out of a 3-4 front with “multiple abilities to get in different fronts easily.” Ramsey describes the defense as “An attacking style that looks to cause chaos,” emphasizing pressure and disruption. Senior defensive back Logan Bean leads the secondary after racking up 86 tackles, while senior linebacker/defensive back Emilio Torres added 50 tackles and one interception as a versatile second-level defender. With a full season of experience under their belts, those returners are expected to help stabilize the unit. Norris is the team’s Top 100 nominee and is praised as “One of the hardest working and most reliable players in the program,” a “long athlete with extreme speed (4.47 laser timed)” who will “make plays both at DB and WR this season.” He already has interest from “numerous D2 programs” and is “looking for a breakout year.” Twin sophomores Austin and Tyler Skinner are the underclassmen to watch after starting all 10 games on the offensive line as freshmen and already drawing attention from programs like Kansas State, Tulsa and Oklahoma State. With that young line foundation, a deep receiver room and an attacking defense, Westmoore is positioned to make tangible strides and move out of the winless column in 2026.
