Westmoore senior swimmer Nick Shaffer has been named to the Oklahoma Coaches
Association All-State west swim team.
“Nick has been an extremely committed and competitive swimmer since his freshman year,”
Westmoore swim coach Brent Long said. “He is also a great student. He balanced academics,
club swim, and his high school swim responsibilities extremely well.”
Shaffer placed seventh in the 6A boys 100 yard backstroke finals with a 56.94. He’s signed to
swim at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey.
“[Shaffer] was a phenomenal team captain and a great leader and mentor to the other
swimmers,” Long said. “I look forward to watching him in college.
