Q&A with Westmoore’s Lincoln Foster Reed – Swimming Spotlight – Presented by Garrett Christian, Shelter Insurance

Westmoore’s Lincoln Foster Reed

VYPE: Lincoln, what events are you swimming for WHS this season?

Lincoln Reed: The two of the events I’m swimming are the 50 free and the hundred butterfly. I have to say the hardest event would be any of the 200s and the reason is, I just don’t like distance.

VYPE: Which teammate is the most vocal and who keeps everyone laughing?

LR: The person who is most vocal in the swim team would have to be Maddie and for the person that keeps people laughing and there’s two people would be Andrew and Ethan.

VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates?

LR: Some things I love about my team at Westmoore are how like fun they are and like open and like caring.

VYPE: What’s been your biggest improvement coming into the season?

LR: I would have to say my biggest improvement is my hundred fly and like fly in general cause I used to be so crappy at it. and my hundred free which I just got down to sub minute.

VYPE: Do you have a favorite subject in school and a favorite teacher?

LR: I’d have to say it would be eighth grade history at brink with Miss Douglas.

VYPE: Tell us your favorite moment from any season.

LR: I’m going to have to say my favorite moment is when I first got to state with the YMCA Kraken team. And it had to be canceled because of thunderstorms that day and I got a tattoo.

VYPE: What other clubs do you swim with?

LR: I am not involved in any clubs for school, but I am with Sooner Swim Club.

VYPE: How do you like to spend your free time?

LR: Things I like to do with my free time are playing games and having fun with friends.VYPE: What has athletics taught you that you can use throughout your life?
LR: Things athletics have taught me that I could later use in life would be it doesn’t matter how hard it is you just got to get through it and that you should never give up and keep pushing.
