Jadynn Daggs got her start in soccer when she was only three years old playing for a team called Kaos. The name probably matched the play, but now she is a seasoned veteran and a wing/forward for Westmoore High School. The senior loves playing with this group of girls and their expectations for one another are always high.

“What I love most about my team are the friendships I’ve made and how we encourage each other in our failures and successes,” said Daggs. “Expectations this season are to grow as a team and do well in our season. And to create memories with my friends on the team.” 

As Daggs put it, the team was, “super-pumped” to be back on the field this season after missing the 2020 season due to the pandemic. 

The Lady Jags nucleus features some quality talent and leaders who know how to play hard and have fun at the same time. Daggs said one player keeps the mood up and always has something to say to lift everyone’s spirits. 

“Ruta Andrews is an emotional leader because she keeps the vibe light and fun. In times of stress, she will crack a joke the lighten the mood and yells out encouragements during the game. 

Outside of sports, Daggs is involved in National Honor Society at school, which is about the only other thing she has time for between school and club ball. 

“Westmoore is a great place because the coaches are always pushing us to do our best in school and soccer. They are very understanding if we have to go in and take a test or makeup work for class,” said Daggs. 

Her plans after she graduates include going to school to study neonatal nursing while playing soccer at Oklahoma Baptist University. 

This summer the senior plans to hang out with friends. 

“I love going to the beach and traveling. Doing anything that is physically active such as a game or sport is fun,” said Daggs.
