Westmoore Jaguars Boys Basketball Preview – Presented by Premier Healthcare

Coach Todd Millwee

21-22 Record: 13-11

The Westmoore Jaguars head into the new season returning the core of their rotation and have a good group of underclassmen looking to make an impact this season. Head coach Todd Millwee says that with the improvement and growth he has seen out of the team over the offseason he expects the team to be capable of making a run into the postseason. “We have excellent guard play and team chemistry that will be fun to watch this year,” Millwee said.

Evan Barber (6-2, Sr.) returns for his senior season and is expected to be one of the most productive guards in the state. Barber averaged 19 points a year ago and has great court vision and the ability to find teammates in open space. Barber recently signed with the University of Central Oklahoma and will continue his playing career at the next level. Zach Hays (6-3, Jr.) is a do-it-all player who shoots the ball well from behind the arc. Last season Hays averaged 40% from deep and led the team in overall field goal shooting. Hays also has the ability to slash to the basket and rebounds well.

Gavin Loper (6-2, Jr.) is a lockdown defensive player and led the Jaguars in assists a year ago. Expect Loper to make an impact throughout the year on both ends of the court. While only a sophomore Loper has a very bright future ahead. Ethan Wohletz (6-0, Sr.) is the heart of the team and is willing to do all the dirty work that’s needed to get the job done. Wohletz is a vocal leader on and off the court and his positive actions and influence makes the team better. Zach Crum (6-5, Jr.) always brings energy to practice and games. Crum holds his teammates accountable and coaches local elementary kids in his free time.

Other players to look for include: Anthony Pulido (5-11, Jr.), Garret Loper (6-1, So.), CJ Singleton (5-9, So.), Nathan Davison (6-2, Jr.), Jayden Thomas (6-0, Jr.), Chase Robinson (6-1, Jr.), Caden Kerly (6-2, Jr.), and Zane Zienly (6-4, Jr.)
