Pitch and Catch with Elijah Hill – Presented by RibCrib

VYPE: What are your goals for yourself and your team this season?

Elijah: My team and I want to win a state championship. All of us have bought into that fact and that’s been our main goal since our off season started last fall. My personal goals are to bat above 400 and continue to be a better teammate each day.

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

Elijah: The most fun I’ve had in the last year has to be our recent trip to Texas with the team. That was by far the most fun I’ve ever had, and I think we all got much closer as a family.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade or coach and why?

Elijah: My favorite teacher was Mrs. Woodson from my 7th grade year. She taught me many things about school and life and those lessons have stuck with me through these recent years.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

Elijah: My favorite athletic memory is hitting a game tying triple last year against Edmond North in the top of the 7th. Seeing my dugout erupt and go crazy and then winning the game later that inning was unforgettable.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Elijah: Zane Chavez has easily left the biggest impression on me. He has become a brother to me and over the last 3 years and has been there for me when times have gotten rough.

VYPE: Who on your team has the best impression of your coach and who says the funniest things during games?

Elijah: Jackson Black by far has the best impression of our coach and he’s also the one who says the funniest thing during the game. He is hilarious and always has something to say to make you laugh if you’re mad.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Elijah: I would probably take my cousin to Dubai and play all of the golf courses around that area.

VYPE: If we gave you $500 dollars and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, how would you spend it?

Elijah: I would probably go to a nice steak house then I would spend the rest of the money on fishing stuff.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Elijah: Thank you to my lord and savior Jesus Christ. Thanks to my parents who have loved and cared about me my whole life. To Gabe, rest in peace buddy and we all miss you.
